Project Management

Our project managers and analysts utilize the Agile methodology to promote collaboration and partnership between the technical and business members of a project team, and the organization. This approach reduces the rigidity found in many projects by crafting and tailoring a process to fit the unique requirements found in each situation. Working closely with the business stakeholders, we help guide projects on a course to success by striving to clearly understand the requirements and needs of the project. We collaborate with project technicians and often serve as a bridge between the technical and business sides of our clients organizations.

Process Improvement

We bring an adaptive, lightweight, yet highly effective approach to analyzing business processes. With backgrounds in human factors engineering, usability, and interaction design we naturally focus our process improvement (PI) efforts on the roles people play and how to make their work more meaningful and productive. This often allows us to provide innovative solutions for the business while making life easier for the people involved. While no two PI efforts are alike, we fundamentally believe that no matter how complex the process, it can be broken down into smaller, more manageable elements. Depending on the business situation, we might address the most business-critical process first and then radiate out from that core; or, we might take on a fringe process and then continue peeling the onion. Formal and informal interviews, contextual inquiries, user-task analyses, affinity mapping, and flowcharting are our techniques; pencil & paper, whiteboards, digital cameras, and special purpose software apps are our tools.
